Custom Wedding Jewelry, Something Blue

I recently finished these custom bridal earrings in sterling silver and blue lace agate. Custom jewelry designs are one of my most favorite things to make, as they are often requested to commemorate a special occasion.

In this case, I worked with the mother of the groom to design "something blue" for the bride to be. We discussed her style and her jewelry wearing habits to come up with a classic design that was small in stature and would be easy to wear for any occasion. For me, the most meaningful part came in choosing a stone for the project. I looked at a wide range of blue stones and their energetic, metaphysical properties, which helped guide the mother of the groom to select a stone that was meaningful and well matched for the bride.
